James’s Waffle Recipe
Place your waffle iron (that you know how to operate from reading and understanding its directions) onto a recommended baking surface, usually a kitchen counter. Plug it in and make sure it is working, adjust the setting to the preferred setting for the best waffles.
Read the rest of this recipe in its entirety and collect all necessary equipment and ingredients.
Put into large metal/glass/ceramic bowl
2-3 eggs
1/3 cup oil
3-4 tablespoons sugar white
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups milk
Mix with whisk
Add 1 cup of flour with 1 teaspoon baking soda placed on top
Mix with whisk
Add another 1 and ½ more cups of flour
Mix with whisk until smooth, add small amounts of additional milk ¼ to ½ cup, while whisking, to get batter to right consistency,
Consistency = Batter should be slightly less thick than honey.
Pour using 1 cup measurements into hot waffle iron bottom, (cook waffles per your waffle iron directions.)
Remove cooked waffle from iron, (standard waffle iron – should have the waffle on the bottom of the iron, fully cooked to a golden-brown color that is crispy with a white and fluffy bread like interior.
I use a fork to dig it in and pick up a corner of the waffle as I guide it onto a plate that I am also holding parallel at waffle level.)
Enjoy, I like mine with butter (softened) spread upon the waffle, and seedless blackberry jam also spread over the waffle.
